Program Mission: 

The Ambassador program’s mission is to help chamber members obtain maximum benefit from their membership.

 

Ambassador Benefits:

The Ambassador program is a tool to help you build your business.  The program provides opportunities for more exposure for your business within the chamber in exchange for donating more of your time and energy to the chamber.  You must complete a six month qualifying period as an Ambassador-in-Training and if you complete it successfully, you will be come a Full-fledged Ambassador.

Devin Knott, SACC Membership Director at that time, started the Ambassador program in 2005 with two Ambassadors (Kevin Nakano and Wade Sutton) and Board Member Keith Adachi.  Kevin Nakano took over the Ambassador program as program chair in 2006 and revised the program giving the program more structure and emphasizing on adding value to the Ambassadors, to SACC members and to the Chamber.  Kevin developed the program purpose, expectations, selection and qualifying process and benefits.  The Ambassador program is continually evolving as new chairs revise the program to meet the current needs of the Ambassadors and the chamber.  Santos Duran created the mentor program in April 2008 to help new Ambassadors transition into the Ambassador program and to improve program retention.
